ArtMajeur Magazine Cover: The Gateway #3. The Ocean Reverie

There is a particular feeling when a photograph leaves the place where it was made and begins to live somewhere else. This image, created as part of my The Gateway series, was chosen for the cover of the magazine’s 31st edition. But the cover was only part of it. Inside the magazine, ArtMajeur also published an article about my work, my projects, and my approach to photography. For an artist, such recognition from a gallery that believes in his work carries a meaning of its own.

When the magazine arrived, with the photograph on its cover, it felt different from seeing the image on a screen. A photograph that had existed only as an idea, a moment, and finally a finished print was now an object that could be held in the hands. It was a small but important reminder that the work had travelled farther than I had expected.

I am deeply grateful to ArtMajeur for this recognition. It is encouraging to know that the images I create have found people who see something in them and are willing to give them a place in the world. For me, moments like this do not bring the work to an end. Quite the opposite. They make me want to return to the camera, to look again, and to make the next photograph.
